FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, presents Rose Kingsley in Whiting and Mercer Together Again—Too Marvelous For Words on August 9, 2018. Celebrated Opera Diva, turned Jazz Chanteuse, Rose Kingsley, with the blessing from both the Whiting and Mercer families will take you on a musical journey through the songs of two of the most renowned composers of the 20th century and their collaborations together and apart. A show sure to be, “Too Marvelous For Words”!
Accompanying Rose on Piano will be Tex Arnold. For over twenty five years he was musical director for Margaret Whiting, arranging and conducting for her performances on radio, television, and records, and with major symphony orchestras. Tex Arnold has accompanied Melissa Errico and Barbara Cook in concerts throughout the country including performances at the Los Angeles Music Center and Carnegie Hall. Musical arrangements have been written for this show by Tex Arnold and Bob Corwin (Pianist and collaborator for Johnny Mercer for over 25 years).
